How deeply do I wish to delve into the stars. Sit atop of the Milky Way dipping my toes into its organized chaos. Causing a few ripples before the big jump. Then, when the perfect clearing opens I dive right in. Stars, astroids, and darkness decorate my descent. It’s warm. It’s cold. It’s long. It’s exciting. Until I’m back here on Earth—awake and bound. The stars I felt, light-years away. It was all a dream for this earthbound misfit.
